MyVrPet says it can't see my hands

MyVrPet is played with hand tracking. Check that it is switched on in Settings → Hands and body → Hand and body tracking, then put your controllers down somewhere out of view and hold your hands in front of the headset. The game shows a card that tells you exactly what it sees (hand tracking off, controllers in use, nothing tracked or not enough light) and clears it as soon as your hands are tracked.

My hands are jittery or keep disappearing

Hand tracking needs light. Turn on a lamp or open the curtains, avoid strong light directly behind you and keep your hands in front of you rather than at your sides. Wiping the headset cameras with a soft cloth also helps.

Hand tracking really won't work for me. Can I use controllers?

Yes. If the game can't find your hands, a small "I want to use controllers" button appears on the help card after a few seconds. Controllers then drive your virtual hands for that session, and you can point at menus with a ray. The game goes back to hands the next time you start it, or as soon as it sees your real hands for a few seconds.

How do I set up or redo my room scan?

MyVrPet uses your Quest room scan to know where your floor, walls and furniture are. If you haven't scanned your room yet, the game asks for permission and helps you set it up the first time you play. To scan again (for example after moving furniture or playing in a different room), open the main menu by turning your left palm toward you and pinching, then choose Rescan Room.

My pet won't climb onto my sofa or bed

Your pet can only use furniture that is part of your room scan. Rescan your room and mark the sofa, bed or table as furniture, then restart the game.

How much space do I need?

MyVrPet is a roomscale game. A clear patch of floor of about 2 × 2 m is comfortable, and more space gives your pet room to explore and makes fetch and Guardian Mode more fun. Always keep your play area clear of obstacles.

The menus are too close or too far away

Menus adapt to your height and reach automatically. You can fine-tune them in the main menu under Settings → Menu Distance.

How do I open the main menu?

Turn your left palm toward your face and pinch your thumb and index finger. With controllers, press the menu button on the left controller.

How do I replay the tutorial or reset my progress?

Both are in the main menu under Settings. Replay Tutorial walks you through the basics again without touching your progress. Reset Progress asks for confirmation, then clears your pets, Sparkles and Bond progress (your audio settings are kept) and closes the game.

Can I turn off analytics?

Yes. MyVrPet sends anonymous usage statistics through Meta to help improve the game. Switch it off in Settings → Analytics. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Is my progress backed up?

Your progress is saved on your headset. Uninstalling the game may remove it, so keep it installed if you want to continue with your pets.

Does MyVrPet need an internet connection?

No. You can play offline. Meta platform features such as achievements sync when you are online.

Tell us your headset model, what you tried and what you see in the game. A photo of the screen helps a lot.
