What is MyVrPet?
MyVrPet is a cozy virtual pet game made for mixed reality. Instead of a pet on a screen, you get a life-sized cat or dog that walks on your real floor, hops onto your sofa and curls up for naps in your room. It plays like a gentle VR pet simulator built entirely around your hands: you stroke its fur, hold out treats, throw a ball, send it pouncing on holographic critters and scoop it up for a cuddle. Every pet has hidden likes and its own temperament, and the bond between you grows over days of play. If you have ever wanted a mixed reality cat that feels like it is really there, this is it.

What is MyVrPet?
MyVrPet is a cozy mixed reality virtual pet game for Meta Quest. You adopt a cat or a Shiba Inu that lives in your real room, and you pet, feed, brush, carry and play with it using your bare hands.
Which headsets does MyVrPet support?
MyVrPet runs on Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S and Meta Quest Pro. Quest 2 is not supported.
What languages is MyVrPet in?
The game is in English for now. Most of it is played with your hands rather than by reading, so you can enjoy petting, feeding and playing with your pet whatever language you speak.
Do I need controllers?
No. MyVrPet is built around hand tracking, so you pet, feed, carry, brush, throw, point and use the menus with your bare hands. If hand tracking ever gives you trouble, the game can switch to controllers for that session, but hands are how it is meant to be played.
Does it work in my real room?
Yes. MyVrPet uses passthrough and your Quest room scan, so your pet walks on your real floor and climbs supported furniture. If you haven't scanned your room yet, the game helps you set that up.
Which pets are free?
Tobby the Orange Tabby and the Shiba Inu are free. Maya, Babuleh, Cartoon Cat, Tuxedo Cat, Black Shorthair and Spooky Cat can be adopted with Sparkles, the in-game currency you earn by playing. Meet all 8 pets.
Do pets grow closer to me over time?
Yes. Every pet has its own Bond Journey with five stages, from New Friend to Family. As you care for and play with your pet over several days, it greets you more warmly, asks you to play and learns to sit with you. How Bond works.
Is MyVrPet suitable for kids?
MyVrPet is a gentle, cozy game with no violence beyond cartoon mice being swatted in Guardian Mode. Meta sets its own minimum age for Quest accounts, so younger players should play with a parent nearby.
Can I play sitting down?
MyVrPet is a roomscale game, so it is best played standing with some free floor space around you. You can sit for petting and cuddles, but your pet walks around your whole room and playing fetch or Guardian Mode works best on your feet.
Is it like Tamagotchi or Neko Atsume?
It shares the cozy, look-after-a-pet idea, but your pet is life-sized and in your real room. You touch it with your own hands, it explores your furniture and it bonds with you over days of play.
What is Guardian Mode?
A short arcade challenge you can start from the hand menu. Pests run in from around the room. You swat them and toss them to your pet, who finishes the job. Pick upgrades between waves, chase a high score and earn Sparkles. More about Guardian Mode.
What is Pounce Patrol?
A 90-second laser hunt you can start from the hand menu. Holographic critters pop up around your room. Point at them to dazzle them, and your pet pounces. Build combos, earn up to three stars, climb ten Hunter Ranks and try a new hunt every day. More about Pounce Patrol.
Where is my progress stored?
Your pets, progress and decorations are saved on your headset. The game sends anonymous usage statistics through Meta to help improve it, and you can turn that off in Settings. See the Privacy Policy for details.
