Black Shorthair, the realistic black cat

Our most realistic cat

The Black Shorthair was built to look and move like a real domestic cat, with natural proportions, a long slender tail and realistic fur. Seen through passthrough on your own floor, it is the pet most likely to make a visiting friend do a double take. Its rig was hand-tuned so the paws plant firmly as it walks, sits and stretches.

Natural cat behaviour

Watch it stretch out after a nap, sit upright with its tail wrapped around its paws, sniff a hand you hold out low and still, or stare out of your window. These moments happen on their own: your pet decides what it wants to do based on its needs, its mood and its temperament, then asks you when it needs something, like food or a brush.

A reunion to earn

Real cats can be aloof, and an Independent Black Shorthair might sit a little way off when you return after a few days. Crouch down to its level or hold out a still, low hand and it will come around. Bonding with a cat like this, from New Friend all the way to Family, is one of the most rewarding journeys in the game.

Adopt the Black Shorthair

The Black Shorthair is one of the newest pets in the Sparkles shop. Sparkles are earned through play, so you can save up for it without spending anything extra. Like every pet, it keeps its own likes, traits, memories and Bond progress.
