Maya, the Birman cat

The long-haired cat of the family

Birmans are known for their silky, semi-long fur, white "gloved" paws and deep blue eyes, and Maya has all three. Her fluffy tail sweeps behind her as she walks across your room, and her coat makes brushing especially satisfying: grab the brush from your palm menu and stroke gently to keep her looking her best.

Calm, curious, or both?

Every Maya has her own temperament, rolled the first time you meet. She might turn out Cuddly and come looking for attention, or Independent and happy to watch you from the windowsill until she decides it is time to say hello. She also has three hidden likes and two dislikes among foods and activities. Repeat an activity a few times and you will see whether it delights her or earns a little grumble.

Bonding with Maya

Maya keeps her own Bond Journey, separate from your other pets. Spend a few minutes with her on different days and she moves from New Friend toward Family. Along the way she starts to greet you, ask for her favourite games and, once you are best friends, sit beside you on request. If you have been away for a while she may play it cool at first. Crouch down or offer a still, low hand and she will warm up.

How to adopt Maya

Maya is available in the in-game shop for Sparkles, the currency you earn by playing, completing daily quests and keeping up your daily reward streak. There is no extra purchase: everyone can earn her by playing.
